Excursions and Safaris to Game Parks
Lolldaiga Hills – The Lolldaiga Hills are 50,000 acres of untamed valleys and hills with stunning vistas across Laikipia. With abundant game and bird life it is possible to have the place entirely to yourself.
Lewa Conservancy – A pioneering conservancy that led the way in educating local communities to preserve wildlife, in order to directly benefit from tourism. The HQ of Tusk, this magical conservancy is home to both black and white rhinos.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy – This large private ranch, with its all-weather roads, offers self-drive safaris throughout the year. The Big Five, Hippo Pools and the Chimp House are just a few of the highlights.
Samburu National Park – This iconic park is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Semi-arid wild terrain gives it a last frontier feel. Couple this with the nomadic Samburu Masai who live here, and this is often considered the “true Africa.
Bush Breakfasts, Sundowners and Picnics
Bush Breakfasts and Sundowners are an integral part of the safari experience. Let us pick a beautiful spot and spoil you with a hearty breakfast in the Bush or some delicious Bitings with your gin and tonic as the huge African sun slips behind the horizon. Sundowners can be arranged at Ol Bobongi House around our fire pit with stunning views towards to the Aberdares where the sun sets.

Bike Safari
Try this exhilarating way to view game in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Cycling through the park it is possible to get close to the wildlife from your saddle! Finish off with a coffee or lunch at Morani’s restaurant in the centre of the park.

Trekking
There are some wonderful destinations for one day or multi day treks, from the Laikipian plains to the higher treks on Mt. Kenya. Gentle trekking to more challenging climbing, there are treks to suit all abilities and ages.
Mount Kenya
Why not trek Africa’s second highest summit and see the last of the equatorial snow and ice? Both technical and non-technical summits offer views of Mt. Kilimanjaro on a clear day! Fully supported expeditions with qualified guides.
Canyoning, Rock Climbing and Fishing
Canyoning – Plunge into the Blue Pools in the Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve. Slide down chutes and abseil in this tropical forest. All safety equipment is provided, along with qualified canyon guides. This is a great family day out and can be tailored to any level.
Rock Climbing – Ever dreamt of rock climbing? Our UK certified guides (and equipment) will take you to a wonderful granite dome, overlooking Lewa and Samburu, where it is possible for all ages and abilities to give it a go.
Fishing – Mt. Kenya doesn’t just offer superb trekking, it’s lakes and rivers are abundant with Brown Trout. We can take you to a variety of locations to catch your supper! Equipment and gillies provided for a fun day out!
