Welcome to our World
Carved Lamu doors open into the grand hall entrance. From here there is access to the reception, 4 king-sized bedrooms and one kids’ bedroom with two bunk beds.
Ol Bobongi House features a cosy living room with French stone fireplace, an elegant dining room, a spacious fully equipped country kitchen with pantry, a study, and a huge, covered veranda with outdoor bar and dining area.
Ol Bobongi’s cinema has a large flat-screen TV with Netflix/DSTV, hundreds of DVDs and over 900 movies on our exclusive movie streamer box for all ages to choose from.
Games Room, Gymnasium & Sports Bar
Ol Bobongi’s games room offers a snooker table, foosball table, table tennis table, dart board, fully equipped Sports Bar and a sitting area with big comfortable sofas, a large fireplace, and a TV/media streamer with over 600 movies for all ages.
The Games Room also offers a gymnasium with treadmill, incline bench, dumbbells, double wheel rollers, exercise bike, weights, exercise mats, massage vibration plate and massage table.

Gardens & Security
Ol Bobongi House covers an area of 800 square metres / 8000 square feet – meaning there is lots of space and privacy for guests to relax and enjoy themselves.
In the gardens are a boules/petanque court, covered breakfast and lunch pergolas and fully equipped barbecue area.
The perimeter of Mukima Ridge is electrically fenced to deter wildlife encroachment supported by an additional 5-acre internal fence surrounding Ol Bobongi House.

Ol Bobongi House sits on the doorstep of some of Kenya’s finest game parks. With both private ranches and National Parks to choose from, there is a huge array of options for both single and multi day safari experiences. We can make all the arrangements for you – from hiring safari vehicles, booking lodges or tented camps or simply giving you the benefit of our experience with some friendly advice.
A beautiful, challenging 9-hole golf course is located in close proximity. Both Ladies & Gentlemen’s clubs are available from Ol Bobongi House.
We can also help you to arrange day trips or short excursions to the numerous and well-renowned safari destinations that are all within striking distance of the house.
From trekking to more challenging technical climbs on Mount Kenya to canyoning or simply discovering the joy of getting up close and personal with the wild animals from the seat of your bicycle, you will be meticulously, safely and expertly guided.

The house and property are beyond belief, especially arriving after a long, dusty day on safari. We were astounded and I got a lot of brownie points for my choice! It’s huge, beautifully appointed, and has so much to offer. One could easily make a weekend of just staying at the house! Not that one would, what with all the wildlife to be seen in the area. Francesca, the chef was also very kind and on point with her general help. We highly recommend this place and will be back.
Ol-Bobongi is incredible – elegant, comfortable, magnificently decorated, thoughtfully organized and breathtakingly beautiful! Literally every detail was perfect, from the bouquets of roses left in the master bedroom and front hall, the delicious and ample breakfasts, the wonderful cooking of the kind and caring staff, the polite, affectionate and well-behaved pets, and, most of all, the tranquillity and beauty of the surroundings. The house’s gorgeous wrap-around veranda looks out over gardens lush with flowers – so much fragrant lavender! – up to Mount Kenya. The bathtub in the master bath is exquisite, and there is an entire film screening room with hundreds and hundreds of DVDs to choose from! We had each meal of the day at a different beautifully-set table. It was a chance to feel like a well-cared-for millionaire for a weekend!
If you are looking to get away and have a comfortable stay, especially with kids, this is the place to go. Plenty of water, power and internet. Great game room set off from the rest of the house, so they can be loud and not affect anyone else. The movie room was also a hit with everyone there is a huge DVD collection as well as Netflix. The staff are incredibly well trained to take care of you and prep the house each evening and morning. The whole house is beautiful and comfortable. With a large outdoor veranda with plenty of seating facing Mt Kenya, you could spend the whole day there. Seating for meals inside and out, also you can enjoy a fire inside and out.
