A stay at Ol Bobongi House comes with a trained chef responsible for all your meals during your stay. Menus are designed with you in the lead, incorporating your vision, keeping your planned activities top of mind and doing our best to accommodate any special requests.

Let's discuss your menu

Our House Manager and Chef will work with you prior to your stay to discuss menu options, your grocery lists and make recommendations regarding what to bring and what you can source locally. Our Chef is proficient in Italian, Swahili, Indian, Chinese and North American cuisines. We have a menu of options available to help guide your preferences available once you book a stay.

How to source your food

We strive to make self-catering as easy as possible. We are so proud of our region. We can provide suggestions to help you sample the very freshest fruits, vegetables and best quality meats, cheeses and specialty items produced in Nanyuki area.

The wraparound verandah

Meals can be served on our sweeping verandahs for spectacular views of Mount Kenya. Our gardens are wonderfully landscaped and there are two covered pergolas for outside breakfasts, lunches and dinners under the stars. Patio tables can set up in the gardens for impromptu al fresco meals.

Our formal dining room

Our formal dining room connected to our lounge with a large fireplace provide the perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks and a seamless transition for special dinners. Candlelight and good company. What can be better?

Catering for picnics

We pack picnic breakfasts, packed lunches for longer safari days and special sundowners for early evening sunsets at local conservancies upon request. Our guides can set up tables and chairs upon request for dining while game viewing where safe and permitted.
